Florence Piano Studio

I'm James Head.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance.  From the age of 7, I studied piano with the legendary piano teacher Ernestine Scott, who taught at Oklahoma City University for 40 years.  I began teaching my own students in high school. When I was 18, I was piano soloist with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic.  At age 21, I won the Clara Wells National Piano Competition, judged by the renowned Jorge Bolet.

I offer private piano instruction for children and adults from age 6.  If your child is younger than 6 and you want (and your child wants) piano lessons, let's discuss it. If there is evidence of talent or exceptional intelligence, I am open to exceptions.  I work hard to make learning fun, but I also have high standards.  Learning to play the piano is demanding and requires hard work and commitment. Give me  a call or text at (405) 306-5076.
