Student Report Cards

Each quarter,  I issue a Report Card to parents for each student.  This helps parents know how the student is doing and in some cases, aid parents in decisions about lessons.  Students are evaluated by the following criteria:

The Student...

  • Is attentive during lessons
  • emonstrates willingness to follow instructions
  • Practices appropriate for age (with extra point for logging practice time)
  • Makes consistent progress between lessons
  • Participates in at least one Performance Saturday
  • Learns at least one new scale
  • Takes responsibility and is enthusiastic about learning

Each of these will be given a score between 1 and 5 and averaged for a total score, along with comments when relevant.
